Who makes the best comfort bikes?

Bike brands such as Schwinn and Raleigh are worldwide bike brands that are known for high quality bikes.  Unlike mountain bikes and road bikes, Comfort bikes don’t have specific brands that solely concentrate on providing the best for that specific type of brand.

So as long as you’re looking at bikes from Schwinn, Raleigh, Sixthreezero just to name a few you’ll be good to know that you’ll not be let down on quality.

But are you buying a comfort bike for the right reasons?

Comfort bikes which are similar to cruiser bikes are designed for certain uses such as leisure riding.  Their bikes designed for short distance riding whereas bikes such as hybrid bikes are made for longer distance riding.

Comfort bikes are specifically designed to provide the user with maximum comfort.  They’ll include parts such as suspension seats, wider wheels and curved handlebars.

If you’re looking for a bike for light exercise, leisure riding, and biking to the local shops then a comfort bike would be good for you.  If you plan on using a comfort bike for commuting, then make sure your commute is local (within a couple miles) and on a flat terrain.  Otherwise you’d be best with a different type of bike such as the road or hybrid bike.

If you fall into one of the following categories then a comfort bike would be a good shout for your next bike.

  • Leisure riding
  • Short distance riding/commuting
  • Light exercise
