This Saturday Celebrate the Victory!
Dear Member,

This Saturday is the day we will ALL get together and celebrate! Kane County has prevailed over the federal government in resolving the issue of ownership of 5 roads!

It is going to be SUPER nice weather, and lots of fun. We will here from a few speakers that helped make the victory possible. Come and celebrate with us. We need to show our appreciation for the Kane County commission and encourage them and other counties to go after more roads.

Please if you can be there. We don't want to have 20 people there. That would be very bad. Its a long drive from the Wasatch front but it will be worth it. S many rural residents drive to urban Utah to support our cause and other recreationists. We need to return the support. Plus while here we can enjoy some awesome scenery.

Here is some additional info from our good friend and activist Don Black. Don has been the main local guy helping put this together.
"Deer Springs Ranch has been very supportive of this event and is a great location with lots of room and beautiful scenery.

There is plenty of parking near the air strip where the rally will be held with lots of room to park trailers. If you have a large rig with a trailer or an RV, you are welcome to park it at the airstrip and camp there. There is also a nice area by the cabins where folks can tent camp or park smaller vehicles and camp. The campsite is very nice with a large fire pit that would work great for a Saturday night get together.

There will be port a potties at both locations. There is water available at the ranch headquarters. They have a small store that has ice and soda available.

Also, there will probably be some cabins available to rent if someone would like to stay in one.

Make a weekend out of it, you won't be sorry. This promises to be a fun and memorable event."

Thanks Don! Please make every effort to come and be with all of us on Saturday.

We got 5 roads back. The Paria is next! Let's go get the rest of 'em!

There are many OHV opportunities in the immediate area of Deer Springs Ranch and folks are advised to bring their recreational vehicles and make a weekend out of it. Camping will be available at Deer Springs Ranch near the site of the rally.

The Skutumpah Road from Lower Podunk to Deer Springs Wash is part of the Great Western Trail and open to stickered ATV's. The rest of the road is open to street legal ATV's and licensed vehicles. If your ATV isn't street legal, It's recommended that you trailer it in on the Skutumpah Road to Deer Springs Ranch and from there you are able to access the many BLM designated routes in the area that are legal for ATV's.

Please follow all rules and regulations on trails in the GSENM and adjacent BLM managed lands.

American Fork Canyon Clean-up
Also this Saturday is the U4WDA service project. Saturday is National Public Lands day. We need to take some time and give back to the land. Please try to take even a few hours and help clean-up the canyon.

It is important that we make efforts to build better relationships between different recreational groups and the USFS. this project is one such opportunity. Click below for our email with more details about this project.
