Closure at Factory Butte
The Factory Butte area in southeastern Utah has been an OHV destination for locals
and tourists for many generations. In September 2006, the BLM issued an "emergency"
order that closed 145,000 acres to cross-country OHV travel. This "emergency"
closure was in direct violation of the BLM's own policies.
